2014 Finalists Announced

10 companies have been selected as finalists for LiON’S LAIR, a competition that offers finalists the chance to pitch their idea to a panel of industry judges—the “Lions”—and solicit over $100,000 in cash and in-kind resources.

“LiON’S LAIR is a fantastic opportunity for Innovation Factory and the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce to work closely with high-potential companies and reward them for their efforts in entrepreneurship,” stated Keanin Loomis, President and CEO of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce.

Ontario’s Political Parties Respond to Hamilton Chamber of Commerce 2014 Provincial Election Platform

Lion’s Lair Submissions Closed

Lion's LairSubmissions are now closed for the 2014 LiON’S LAIR competition. Thank you to everyone who submitted a business plan for consideration.

Over the next few weeks our fantastic evaluators will be going through each submission and scoring them accordingly. From the applications received, ten finalists will be selected to pitch their idea to a panel of experts in a television studio environment.

Vasudha Seth, a marketing executive with ArcelorMittal Dofasco, was formally introduced as the new Chair of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce at our 168th Annual General Meeting on March 25, 2014.  She takes over from past Chair Louise Dompierre and will serve a two year term. In keeping with a time honoured tradition, Vasudha was sworn in by the Mayor of Hamilton, Bob Bratina.
