Provides support and leadership for local business issues relating to the Town of Dundas: hosts the annual Christmas tree Lighting Ceremony and Dundas Seniors’ Day.

YEP is a division of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce and applies to Chamber members with any and all employees under the age of 40. YEP specifically supports young professionals who work in Hamilton, ON with monthly events. YEP Members are ambitious, fun and resourceful and are looking to attend events that add value to their professional and personal lives. Members are willing to help others, not only to build upon their philanthropic goals but to live happier, more satisfying lives. YEP events and meetings are held in various locations around Hamilton to engage members in the local community and economy, these events provide professionals an opportunity to learn new skills, build toolkits and network with similar minded individuals.
YEP! Hamilton will act also as a platform to:
- Utilize technology to link young Entrepreneurs & Professionals across the city to enact positive change
- Focus on raising the profile of young Entrepreneurs & Professionals in Hamilton to assist in the overall communications goal of promoting “Hamilton – City of Entrepreneurs”
- utilize the resources available through the Chamber.

Human Resources Network
The Human Resources Network will hear from and interact with speakers and panels that address current issues of importance to HR professionals.
HR Network Committee
Chair – Cheryl Byrne with Cheryl Byrne Consulting who works with leaders to clarify their strategies, set clear goal measurements and evaluate the culture changes that will be needed to reach their strategic goals. She supports the work of leaders in the executive suite and at the Board table. She facilitates critical meetings, conducts Board assessments and coaches Directors and executives as they seek to improve their performance. She also measures the effectiveness of culture and develops leadership skills to improve it.
Vice Chair – Julie Holden with Holden & Associate Inc. who offers human resource consulting services in the area of HR policy development, workplace mental health and absence & disability management strategies to help employers contain costs and improve productivity.
Secretary – Christina Birmingham with Birmingham Consulting. Christina is responsible for HR and Administration at Birmingham Consulting. Christina is also a member of the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA) – Hamilton.
Member – Wade Poziomka is a Human Rights Lawyer practising in Hamilton and Toronto. He frequently appears before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. He also serves as the Chair of the Ontario Bar Association’s Constitutional, Civil Liberties and Human Rights Section, as 1st Vice-President of the Board of Directors of ARCH Disability Law, and as one of three appointed applicant-side representatives to the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario’s Practice Advisory Committee. Wade is also a Partner with Ross McBride LLP.
Connections is a category-exclusive networking group that meets every other Thursday morning at the Uptown Business Club (236 Pritchard Road). Breakfast is served at 7:15am, and the meeting begins at 7:30am.
