1. DiscoverAbility Network: Hiring an Under-tapped Pool of Skilled Talent

The Hamilton Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce to bring the Discover Ability Network to the Hamilton area to provide tools, resources and supports to help local employers attract and recruit job seekers with disabilities.

Knowing there are huge benefits to having inclusive workspaces, this segment of the HR Network meeting is designed to walk you through the benefits of the program and how you can take advantage of their services to build a more diverse and stronger talent base.

2. Magnet Student Workplace Program: Wage Subsidies up to $7,500 for Hiring Student Talent

The Magnet Student Work Placement Program provides employers with wage subsidies to hire post-secondary students for paid work experiences. Students in turn benefit with quality work experience so they can secure employment in their chosen fields of study.
