Awards to be presented at the gala:
Small Business Award (1-10 Employees): This award is for profit centered businesses which have been in operation in the City of Hamilton for 3 years or more and have 1 to 50 employees. Please review the list of criteria for key factors to be used to measure the accomplishments of the nominees for the Small Business Award. Note that these are for reference only and should apply during 2016.
Mid-size Business Award (10-50): Mid-Size Business Award (51+ Employees): This award is for profit centered businesses which have been in operation in the City of Hamilton for 3 years or more and have 51 employees or more. Please review the list of criteria for key factors to be used to measure the accomplishments of the nominees for the Large Business Award. Note that these are for reference only and should apply during 2016.
Large Business Award (50+ Employees): This award is for profit centered businesses which have been in operation in the City of Hamilton for 3 years or more and have 51 employees or more. Please review the list of criteria for key factors to be used to measure the accomplishments of the nominees for the Large Business Award. Note that these are for reference only and should apply during 2016.
Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award (35 years and under): The criteria for the Young Entrepreneur Award includes proficiency as a Risk Taker, Enthusiasm, Motivation, Growth Oriented, Creativity, Originality, Dedication, Innovation, and Vision as applied to activities of the Young Entrepreneur during 2013. Individuals (aged 35 and under) who are nominated in this category must have owned and operated their own business for more than 3 years in the City of Hamilton.
Not For Profit Award: This award recognizes the contribution that Not-For-Profit Organizations make to the City of Hamilton. The Award will be presented to an organization which has been in business more than 3 years and follow the same standard list of criteria as the other awards.
Century Award (100 years +): This Award recognizes those businesses which have operated in the community for 100 years or more. Any company which has not previously registered with the Chamber should identify itself to be suitably recognized at the Awards Ceremony.
Accessibility Award: This award recognizes those businesses who demonstrate a commitment and appreciation for diversity and inclusion through best practices and innovative solutions in creating an inclusive workplace, implementing programs that create respectful and equitable work environments, and ensuring that diversity is reflected at all levels of the organization.

– Support for Not-for-Profit arts organizations
– Business Accessibility, (AODA, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act)
