Powering Ontario Towards Net-Zero through Electrification
“Net-zero” means achieving a balance between carbon emissions produced and removed from the atmosphere. Our transition to a low-carbon generation portfolio began in 2003 with an ambitious smog reduction and climate change initiative to eliminate coal-fired electricity generation in the province. Achieving this marked the largest single climate action in North America to date.
Today we are taking a leadership role in decarbonizing Ontario’s transportation sector by investing in the electrification of heavy fleets and through the launch of the Ivy Charging Network.
We invite you to learn how we are working to create a more prosperous Ontario and how Hamilton can benefit.
