One of Southern Ontario’s most respected and recognized media personalities, Connie Smith is now sharing the secrets of her success and the success of the hundreds of celebrities and everyday heroes she’s interviewed.

A trail-blazer in the industry, Connie was the first woman to join the weekday news anchor desk at CHCH-TV Hamilton where she became a household name and face for more than two decades. She was co-creator, host and producer of Always Good News”, Canada’s first and only good news show. Her interviews over the years include prime ministers, premiers, philanthropists such as Ron Joyce, co-founder of Tim Hortons, funnyman Jim Carrey, Margaret Trudeau, Sarah Palin and Olivia Newton-John.

For her work in the community, co-hosting the McMaster Children’s Hospital Telethon and chairing the 2011 Hamilton United Way Campaign, Connie was awarded Rotary International’s Paul Harris Medal, the Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals. She is a member of the Hamilton Gallery of Distinction and the Order of Ontario.
