November 6, 2019, HAMILTON ON – The Hamilton Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the “Women Excelling in Business Clothing Drive” in partnership with Good Shepherd and CF Lime Ridge. Donations will go towards women-identified clients of Good Shepherd, in order to provide them with attire suitable for job interviews and office work.

Donations of women’s office attire will be accepted from November 14th – 28th at both the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce office (120 King St. West, Plaza Level), as well as at the Guest Services desk at CF Lime Ridge (999 Upper Wentworth St.).

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Good Shepherd and CF Lime Ridge to further empower women to achieve economic independence and build the confidence they need as they successfully enter into the professional world,” said Marie Nash, Director of Communications and Strategic Initiatives, Hamilton Chamber of Commerce.

“A limited wardrobe should never present a barrier to talented women seeking and maintaining employment in our community,” adds Bianca Caramento, Policy Analyst at the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce.

Those who donate clothing are entered for a chance to win one of two $50 CF Lime Ridge gift cards. Donations must be dropped off in plastic bags.

The Chamber is kindly asking the community to kindly donate the following:

• Clean, ready-to-wear women’s professional attire of all sizes
• New or gently-used in quality
• Blazers, short and long sleeve blouses, cardigans, dress pants, skirts, and dresses
• Work appropriate shoes and boots
• Jewelry, belts and scarves
• Handbags, briefcases, portfolios or work appropriate handbag

Items Not Accepted: Clothing in need of cleaning or repair, casual wear, formal wear, sweatshirts, sweatpants, athletic wear, running shoes, used undergarments & hosiery.
