June 1, 2021 – HAMILTON, ON: In honour of Pride Month, Pride Hamilton and the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce the launch of Pride Community Pages.

Pride Community Pages aims to be a directory of Hamilton businesses that are owned by, friendly to, or providing safe space to the Two Spirit and LGBTQIA+ community.

The purpose of Pride Community Pages is to enable members of the Two Spirit and LGBTQIA+ community to better connect with one another and foster a network of businesses interested in supporting Pride initiatives.

“For over 175 years, the Hamilton Chamber has been facilitating connections and collective action to strengthen the economic engine of our community,” says Keanin Loomis, President & CEO of the Hamilton Chamber. “We cannot achieve this without the rich diversity of Hamilton’s Two Spirit and LGBTQIA+ community at the table. A healthy economy is an inclusive economy.”

To kick off this initiative, Pride Hamilton and the Hamilton Chamber have launched a portal for businesses to participate. To be a part of this community resource, businesses are asked to complete the form here.

As the results from businesses come in, the Hamilton Chamber and Pride Hamilton will create a Directory that will include: Business Names, Enrollment Type, and Social Media Accounts of those who have registered. This Directory will be monitored and updated during Pride month (June) and going forward. 

Pride Hamilton and the Hamilton Chamber ask that this community resource be shared widely to include as many businesses in Hamilton as possible.
