About Julia Veenstra

Julia Veenstra is a nationally recognized Canadian artist and entrepreneur celebrated for her vibrant landscapes, expressive use of colour and distinctive impressionistic style. Drawing inspiration from a life lived across several countries, her work reflects a rich blend of experiences and is collected by art enthusiasts around the world.

Beyond the canvas, Julia has built an impressive entrepreneurial career by creating businesses that support artists and collectors alike. She is the founder of Square Foot Show, Artlabel, and Crown & Press Gallery & Café, each designed to make art more accessible while fostering creativity and community.

Her artwork has earned national acclaim, including being featured on the prestigious Royal Winter Fair poster. Working primarily in acrylic, Julia captures the beauty of Canada’s landscapes through bold colour, layered textures and expressive brushwork that evoke feelings of nostalgia, comfort and belonging.

From her studio on Hamilton’s Beach Boulevard to the welcoming space she’s created at Crown & Press, Julia continues to inspire thousands of artists, entrepreneurs and collectors through her belief that creativity and business can thrive together.

The Young Professionals & Entrepreneurs (“YEP”) is a Division of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce. YEP aims to be the premiere initiative for the development and engagement of Hamilton’s next generation of city builders and applies to all members with employees under the age of 40.
