About the Canadian Innovation Corridor
The Canadian Innovation Corridor is a dynamic economic region stretching from the Greater Toronto Area to Waterloo, encompassing Hamilton, Brampton and Mississauga. Home to approximately 8 million people, more than 3.4 million jobs, over 200,000 businesses and some of Canada’s leading post-secondary institutions, the Corridor is a powerhouse for innovation, technology, advanced manufacturing, talent and investment. As a critical gateway for trade and global connectivity, it plays a significant role in driving economic growth across Ontario and Canada.
Since 2018, the Canada’s Innovation Corridor Summit (CICS) has brought together industry leaders, policymakers and academic experts to strengthen regional connectivity, foster collaboration and advance shared economic priorities. In 2025, the Summit evolved into an annual three-part series, with events in Toronto, Kitchener-Waterloo and Hamilton spotlighting regional priorities and emerging economic themes. This format sustains dialogue throughout the year, strengthens partnerships and amplifies the Corridor’s collective voice on the issues shaping its future.
Join Hamilton’s business community for a forward-looking conversation on the trade dynamics, economic pressures and emerging opportunities shaping the future of our region and the broader Canadian Innovation Corridor.
