Friday, July 17 from 12 – 4 p.m. | Chavez Auto Group & CARSTAR | Soaps It Up Car Wash for Cystic Fibrosis | Support a great cause this summer by attending Chavez Auto Group and CARSTAR’s annual Soaps It Up Car Wash for Cystic Fibrosis on Friday, July 17, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 77 Ferguson Ave. S. in Hamilton, 347 Hatt St. in Dundas, or 35 Lingard Rd. in Cambridge. After raising more than $20,000 last year, the team is aiming to reach $30,000 in support of vital cystic fibrosis research. Wednesdays in July and August | Food for Life | Collaborative Kitchen Team Experience | Plan a summer team building event where employees have a chance to give back to the community. Your team will peel, chop and package rescued produce to support seniors facing food insecurity in Hamilton. Enjoy the space for a team lunch (catered in by you) to celebrate your impact. Food for Life is a charity, rescuing and redistributing close to 5 million lbs of nutritious food each year, bridging the gap between food excess and hunger for 30 years. In partnership with Neighbour to Neighbour and St.Matt’s, this initiative aims to supply more accessible produce to seniors in Hamilton. Sessions are 2 hours with an optional 1-hour lunch and is available for group sizes ranging from 5-13. Thursday, September 17 | De Mazenod Door Outreach | Hope For Hunger Gala | Join us at LiUNA Station on Thursday September 17, for Hamilton’s first annual ‘Hope For Hunger Gala’. An evening dedicated to supporting our city’s most vulnerable community members. All funds raised will help provide meals and essential support to the poor and marginalized through De Mazenod Door Outreach. Guests will enjoy a sit-down dinner, live music, and a silent auction in support of this important cause. De Mazenod Door serves the poor and marginalized two meals a day, 365 days a year. The funds raised through this event are essential to helping keep our Door open for those in need.
