Hamilton Chamber of Commerce Updates
Effective March 23, 2020 the Hamilton Chamber is rescheduling the following events:
- Outstanding Business Achievement Awards (OBAAs) – rescheduled to Tuesday, June 9 at Carmen’s Banquet Centre
- March Business After Business (BAB) at Goodwill, The Amity Group – rescheduled to November
- Mayor’s Breakfast – New date TBD
- April Business After Business (BAB) at Wesley Urban – New date TBD
As of March 23, the Government of Ontario ordered all non-essential businesses to close. The Chamber’s staff will be working from home and can be reached by phone or email to continue serving our members.
Under the same mandate, please also note as of March 24, all Jackson Square Mall retail entrances will be closed.
Changes to Certificates of Origin
For companies requiring certificates of origin, please follow this process:
1. Send electronic copies of all documents requiring stamps to Diane Stephenson: email@example.com
2. Diane will print, sign and stamp. (Please indicate how many copies you require)
3. Provide information for a preferred courier/account number to return the documents to you.

Pandemic Preparedness Toolkit
The Ontario Chamber of Commerce team, in collaboration with Hicks Morley, have put together a toolkit to help support businesses be prepared for any human-resources or operational-related disruptions.
The guidelines and resources contained in this toolkit have been prepared to assist businesses in planning for and adaption to the disruption of COVID-19 and any future influenza pandemics.
Hamilton Chamber Members: Submit Your Needs & Concerns
The Ontario Chamber of Commerce has established an online form for you to share your specific needs, concerns and challenges that the COVID-19 crisis has generated.
We kindly ask that this form be used by our Chamber and Boards of Trade members only, and that local member inquiries are channeled this contact form instead.
Your input will be used to inform our government partners. There is no submission deadline. Keep forwarding your feedback as this crisis evolves.
Canadian Chamber of Commerce
To help businesses prepare for and manage through a potential COVID-19 escalation in Canada, the CCC has launched a website: Pandemic Preparedness Business Toolkit.
The Canadian Chamber also developed a brief guide from a number of best practice documents and designed to assist business planning and continuity efforts.
