As the city of Hamilton transitions from a manufacturing based sector to a service based sector, the chamber will undoubtedly play a critical role in helping businesses adapt to the changing landscape.

Your Chamber's public policy positions are approved by the Chamber's Board, duly elected annually to both represent, and be representative, of the broader membership. However, these positions are generally based on specific recommendations made by Chamber Committees and Divisions under a fully democratic process on the basic principal of "one member, one vote". Further, any Chamber member in good standing can actively participate in any Committee/Division meeting at any time, including full voting rights. We thus encourage all members interested in public policy matters to contribute to this process by becoming actively involved in your Chamber's Committees/Divisions.

For more information: Chamber Committees/Divisions

If you wish to actively support and/or make any specific comments about any of your Chamber's public policy positions; we do encourage you to contact your relative local elected official applicable for your riding or ward, quoting these policies and presentations. Contact information pertaining to any local elected officials can be obtained through the following link: http://www.myhamilton.ca/myhamilton/CityandGovernment/YourElectedOfficials/
